Mr. N.J. Corbin, 85, of Dalton went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 19, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 12, 1933 in Gilmer County, Georgia. He owned Corbin Heating and Air. He enjoyed building houses with his wife and his favorite pastime was gardening.
He was the son of the late Franklin E. and Florence Wheeler Corbin and was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Corbin, Kenneth Corbin; brothers-in-law, Dortis Parks, Gene Wright and grandson, Jason Jeffers.
N.J. is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Betty Ann Corbin of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy (Greg) Fowler of Cohutta, Brenda Jeffers, Sam (Jerry) Young, and Charlie (Larry) Tripp all of Dalton; grandchildren, Josh Fowler of Chatsworth, Ryan (Amy) Fowler of Cohutta, George (Ashley) Tate of Seattle, WA, Sydney (Jason) Thomason of Calhoun, Amber Young of Salmon, ID, Jay Tripp and Rhett Tripp both of Dalton; granddaughter-in-law, Robin Jeffers; great-grandchildren, Bo Fowler and Gabe Fowler of Cohutta, Kailyn Jeffers, Easton Jeffers and Jaxon Jeffers of Chatsworth, Emmit Tate IV of Seattle, WA, Mallory Thomason, Paisley Thomason and Emily Thomason of Calhoun; brother, Vernon (Frances) Corbin of Centre, AL; sisters, Viola Parks of Ellijay, Noleta (Kenneth) Chastain of Cherry Log, GA, and Barbara (Edwin) Land of McCaysville, GA; brothers-in-law, Roy (Rubynell) Wright and Charles (Lee) Wright all of Ellijay; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A family burial service was held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 6 p.m. in West Hill Cemetery.
