Noble Merritt Mcguire

February 16, 1924 — April 15, 2018

Noble Merritt McGuire, 94 of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on April 15 th , 2018, at Hamilton Medical Center, surrounded by family. He was a native of Haleyville, Alabama. Parents were Oscar Cleveland and Sarah Teague McGuire. He was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty two years, Dovie Smith McGuire, brothers and sisters. Survivors are sons, Jerry (Sara Jo) and Dennis McGuire, brother, Oscar (Katy) McGuire and sister, Faye McGuire Hollis, both of Roberta, Georgia, Grandchildren, John (Kittie) McGuire, Donna, Steven, and Adam McGuire. He had three great-grandchildren: Megan (Brad) Bouchillon, Justin and Alyssa McGuire, and one great-great-grandchild, Eli Bouchillon. Numerous other relatives in Alabama and Georgia also survive.

Noble was a WWII US Army veteran and a graduate of UGA/Atlanta. He was Corporate Secretary at Cabin Craft, and President of CC Financial, he was well liked by all who knew and worked with him. He was a member of First Baptist Dalton, member and past President of Civitan and member and past President of the National Association of Credit Managers, Chattanooga division.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rock Bridge Community Church, 121 West Crawford St. Dalton, GA 30720 and First Baptist Church of Dalton, PO Box 827 Dalton, GA 30722-0827.
