Patricia Goman Edge

Patricia Goman Edge, 76, of Dalton passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. Born on February 5, 1947, in Fort McPherson, Georgia, she was the daughter of Clifford R. Goman and Elsie Harper Goman.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Andy Fincher of Dalton, Millie and Blake Bridges of Greenville, SC, and Jennifer and Shannon Joiner of Atlanta; 4 grandchildren, Reed Fincher, Ashton Moss (Jake), Harper Bridges, and Noah Bridges.

Pat’s early years were spent in the Atlanta area, and she moved to Dalton while in high school. She met her husband of 54 years, Jerry R. Edge, at Dalton High School. She was a dedicated homemaker and was devoted to her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.

Pat’s Christian faith was a source of strength to her and guided her every decision. As a known prayer warrior, she welcomed all prayer requests. She loved volunteering in the community and especially enjoyed working with children. She was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church.

While she had many hobbies, including sewing and flower gardening, Pat will most be remembered for her love for people. She was a warm, joyful person who saw value in everyone she met. She loved to laugh and had a way of encouraging all those around her.

Service to celebrate the life of Pat will be held, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Blake Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday November 29, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour of 3:00 p.m.
