Patricia Bearden Holsomback

Mrs. Patricia Delores Bearden Holsomback, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 11, 2024, one day short of what would have been her 91st birthday.

Pat was born in Dalton on Thursday, October 12, 1933, to the late Mr. Pharris and Mrs. Ruby Allmon Bearden.

Pat was a proud graduate of Dalton High School, where she was a member of the D.H.S. Choir.  She was also a lifelong member of South Dalton Baptist Church.  She spent the majority of her professional life working for thirty-five years for Pruden Insurance as a manager for personal lines.  Above everything in her life, however, Pat was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her son, Scott Holsomback.

She is survived by her loving husband, Sammie Holsomback, to whom she was married for seventy years.  She is also survived by her daughter, Melinda (Scott) Rhodes; her grandson, Andrew Holsomback, and his mother, Tammy Kelley; her grandchildren Bridget Scrivner, Blake (Brie) Scrivner, Brent (Monica) Scrivner, Jason (Kandra) Scrivner, and Keegan Rhodes.  She is also survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Andrea Patterson, and her nephews, William ‘Oogie’ (Jane) Roberts and Ronnie (Barbara) Roberts.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Patricia Holsomback will be held on Tuesday, October 15, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Atkins and Reverend Danny Edwards officiating.  Pat’s family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 P.M. until the service hour.
