Paul Allen Payne

Paul Allen Payne, age 71, of Ranger, Georgia lost his courageous battle to brain cancer on June 10, 2021.

Allen was a loving supportive husband, father and grandfather. He retired in 2011 and traveled to see the final states to round out all 50 states and write a book. He also enjoyed driving his tractor on his farm in Ranger.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty Payne, his in-laws, Albert and Maxine Glover, sister-in-law, Nancy Glover, brother-in-law, Ricky Byers and nephew, Brandon Byers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary, and 3 daughters, Cynthia Ochal (Ron), Angela Brown (Steven), Meredith Holton (Shawn). He had 6 grandchildren who adored their Grandpa, Treinor, Hannah, Seth, Grace, Owen and Lily. In addition he is survived by his siblings Beverly Clayton (Ben), Joyce Byers, Mark Payne (Rhonda) and sister-in-law, Susan Glover, along with several nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until 12.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa, where Allen was treated.
