Mrs. Pearl Dale Patterson, 87, of Rural Hall, NC and formerly of Dalton, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. John Hicks Byers and Robbie McKinsey Byers and preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Patterson; son, Clarence David Patterson; brothers, Ralph, Hoke, Lloyd, and Troy Byers; sisters, Lolene Bishop, Madge Shaffer, and Bonnie Thirft.
Pearl was born in Haynesville, NC on August 27, 1930. She lived by her faith. She supported her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved her community all of her life and she was retired from Dalton Public Schools.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Patterson Black (Hugh) of Rural Hall, NC and Teresa Patterson Beene (Michael) of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; her admired grandchildren, Mindy and Kerney Black of Rural Hall, NC, Jennie Black Simms (Chris) of Wakefield, VA, Heath Patterson (Julie) of Dalton, Colby Patterson of Bunker Hill, WV, Lanae Patterson Baker (Chris) of Dalton, Hershel Beene and Patterson Beene of Ft. Oglethorpe; great granddaughters, Millie Jane Baker, Lottie Ann Baker, and Frances Georgeanne Patterson; one great grandson on the way, in which she was delighted; brother, David Byers (Connie) of Columbia, TN; sister-in-law, Linda Patterson Wrinkle (Charles) of Hickory, NC; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Beech and Bruce Ellis officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00.
