Raymon Chance

Raymon Chance, age 84, passed peacefully from this life into the next on Tuesday morning February 23, 2021 surrounded by family.

Raymon was a devoted member and deacon of Antioch Baptist Church and was formerly co-owner of C&M Fleet Repair Service with his partner and brother-in-law Bradley Mathis.

He is preceded in death by  his parents Harlie Loye Chance and Venna Mae Arnold Chance, his wife Oletha Coe Chance, and two brothers Roye Wesley Chance and Hubert Lee Chance.

Survivors include his wife Melba Chance, son LaBron (Loraine) Chance of Fort Worth, Texas, daughters Melissa (Mark) Jamison and Melody Chance both of Dalton. Surviving siblings include twin brother Rayson Chance of Ellijay, Georgia, David (Snookie) Chance of Dalton, Frances (Bradley) Mathis of Dalton, Linda (Lloyd) Thomason of Dalton, Marlene (Jeff) Jones of Layton, Utah and Darlene (David) Lucas of Harriman, Tennessee. Stepson R. Shane (Shelley) Curtis, Dallas, Georgia., stepdaughter Amanda (Andy) Hartley of Tunnel Hill, Georgia. Grandchildren include Jeremy (Katherine) Chance, of Cornwall, New York, Kara (Brandon) King of Columbiana, Alabama, Caroline (Jonathan) Cranz of Fort Worth, Texas, Brad Jamison of Denver, Colorado, Lt. Harley Richards of Fort Hood, Texas, and Hayden Richards of Weatherford, Texas. Step-grandchildren include Blakely Curtis of Canton, Georgia, Madi, Sophie, Asa, and Easton Curtis of Dallas, Georgia, Brandon and Jared Hartley of Tunnel Hill, Georgia. Great grandchildren include Hunter and Easton King, Vivian and Ellerbe Cranz, and step great -grandson Maverick Hartley, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great grand nephews and nieces too numerous to list.

A masked and socially distanced family graveside service will be held on Thursday with arrangements provided by Love Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
