Richard Cordel Bird

Richard Cordel Bird, 56, of Calhoun, formerly of Dalton, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at AdventHealth Calhoun. Richard was preceded in death by his loving grandmother and many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those who knew Richard will always remember the unconditional love that he had for all people. His smile always lit up every room that he entered. His loving actions and personhood brought out the best in every person with whom he came into contact. He loved all his family and was deeply loved by all of them in return. Richard is survived by his loving mother, Judy Bird, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Everyone who knew Richard will miss him deeply.

Funeral services for Richard will be on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Claude Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Richard will be laid to rest at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, GA.
