Richard Dennis Gregg

Mr. Richard Dennis Gregg, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 in Panama City, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Gregg; parents, Jack and Bernice Gregg; sister Vivian Hayes; and brother Robert Gregg.

He is survived by his sons, Rick Gregg (Janet), Steve Gregg, and Brad Gregg (Debbie); sister, Katherine Jordan; and brother, Jerry Gregg (Linda).

Mr. Gregg was a graduate of Dalton High School and the University of Georgia. He was a commercial real estate developer and manager specializing in shopping centers, apartments and hotels. He received the CSM (Certified Shopping Center Manager) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Mr. Gregg also served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at the Industrial College in Washington, D.C., and in St. John’s, Newfoundland. While stationed in Newfoundland, he was a member of the championship baseball team of the 64th Air Division playing first base and batting in the #4 cleanup position. He was well known for his home runs. He also played starting center on the Pepperrell Air Force basketball team.

Per his wishes that he expressed prior to his passing, Mr. Gregg will have a private funeral service and will be buried next to his wife at West Hill Cemetery.
