Richard Lamar Scott

Richard Lamar Scott “Pops”, 89, of Dalton passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.

He was the son of the late Crawford and Bertie Scott and was also preceded in death by his son Ricky Scott, brother Grady Scott and sister Annie Ruth Scott.

Lamar was a loving, caring and patient man who will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Scott; children, Lynn Key (Michael), and Kenny Scott (Cathy); grandchildren, Dustin Scott, Caitlin Stephens, Hunter Key and Megan Tirador; great-grandchildren, Jacob Stephens and Daniel Stephens; special brother-in-law, Walter Mullinax.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Chaplain Dana Gray officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2 to 3 PM. Lamar will be laid to rest in West Hill Cemetery.
