Robbie grew up in east Tennessee on a dairy farm that had been in her family for at least two generations before her. She attended Englewood High School and Middle Tennessee State University where she marched as a majorette each year. She sewed her own clothes as a teenager and loved fashion. This skill carried over to her parental days where she made many prom dresses, costumes and majorette uniforms. She later especially enjoyed shopping for prom dresses with her granddaughters and attending events and lending a helping hand to anyone in her family. Robbie was an avid traveler, having had the opportunity to travel all over the world with the Recycled Teenagers group. She enjoyed history and researching her ancestry, quilting, and had quite a collection of hats.
A private family memorial has been scheduled. To honor her memory, donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America.
