Ronald Gary Boyd

Ronald Gary Boyd, 81, of Dalton passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Ronnie was born to William and Josephine Boyd in Jackson, AL and passed peacefully at Hamilton Medical Center with his wife and daughter at his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Sue Carney Boyd and daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Tim Peters all of Dalton. He was a doting grandfather to Chloe Peters of Augusta, GA and Tristan Peters of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra (Jerry) Jamison; nephew, Mark (Melissa) Jamison; sisters-in-law, Debby Rogers, Jane (Ed) Dunn, and Barbara Shields; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronnie was a founding Deacon of Kinsey Drive Baptist Church where he served as deacon and deacon emeritus until his passing. He lived as a humble servant of God. Ronnie was faithful to his church, studying God's word and prayer. He loved nature and history.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Ron McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
