Ruth Dyer Ledford

Mrs. Ruth Dyer Ledford, 85, of Dalton passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Jim and Pate Shoemaker Dyer and was also preceded in death by her husband Luke Ledford, children Ronnie Ledford, Kathy Ledford, and Linda White, sisters Susie Callahan, Marie Parker, Georgia Luffman, Betty Lowery and Elizabeth Dyer, and brothers Otis Dyer and Jerome Dyer. She was also a wonderful mother to 6 Ledford boys.

Ruth was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She loved her family, music, dancing, and giving to others.

She is survived by her son Damion Ledford of Dalton, sister and brother-in-law Pat and Charles Hawkins of Dalton, daughter-in-law Linda Yott of Dalton, grandchildren Angela Stansell, Erica Morris, April Cook, Pam Rogers, Jeremy Ledford, Jeffery Gibson, Cory O’Bryant and Josh O’Bryant, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Friday from Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday after 3 pm.
