Sarah Jane Nations Hammontree

November 20, 1934 — June 14, 2018

Mrs. Sarah Jane Nations Hammontree, 83, of Dalton passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late J.C. Nations and Hester Russell Keasler and was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Nations.

Jane was an active member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Jane loved the Lord and loved to travel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Tom Hammontree of the residence; children and their spouses, Sally Vandorme of Dalton, Mary Ann and Danny Mayfield of Chatsworth, James and Patsy Mooney of Dalton, Nancy and Oscar Gallardo of Cohutta, Mark Timothy Mooney of Chatsworth and Art and Renee Hammontree of Dalton; sister, Marion Chance of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Jim and Brenda Nations of Cohutta and Bill and Emilio Keasler of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. James Mooney and Rev. Neal Hasty officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.
