Sarah Marie Smithey

Mrs. Sarah Marie Smithey, 80, of Murphy, North Carolina and formerly of Dalton passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late John and Alwane Parks and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Billy Smithey; son, Michael Billy Smithey; brother, Pete Parks and sister, Frances Ripley.

Sarah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Marie Smithey (Hartsell Henry) of Dalton and Laura Lynn McHan (Freddie) of Chatsworth; sons, Robert Bradley Smithey (Renee) of Murphy, NC. and James Rodney Smithey (Eric) of Talmo, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Noelle Maxwell, Toni Kate Pippin, Maggie Ashton Taylor, Joshua Derrick McHan, Ramsey Smithey, Andrew Smithey, Beth Smithey, Cody Smithey, Paris Smithey, Portia Smithey, Lilly Hamilton, Tiffany Stone, William Smithey, Heather Smithey and Crystal Carver; great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Schopper of Monroe, OH; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.

Burial will be West Hill Cemetery

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11  until the service at 2 p.m.
