Shirley Ann Bowman Greene

Shirley Ann Bowman Greene, 76, of Spring Hill, TN passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Felton and Sarah Elizabeth Tucker Bowman; her brothers, Carl (Miriam) Bowman, Clarence (Charlotte) Bowman, and James Bowman; and her sister, Louise Woodruff.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dale; her children, Mollie (Jimi) Branning, Robbie (Cassie) Greene, and Ben (Melissa) Greene; her grandchildren, Megan (Jordan) Hastings, Mallory (Barrett) McCaffrey, Michael (Alé) Hamill, Alyssa (Kenny) Carneal, David (Lindsay) Greene, Kirsten Greene, Daniel Greene, Kortnai Greene, Drew Greene, Hutch Greene, and Haven Greene. Great-grandchildren, Knox, Cullen, Liam, Raygan, Jayda, Silas, Hadley, Lenna, Glavine, Stafford, and Flynn. She also is survived by her brother-in-law James Woodruff and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a 1962 graduate of Dalton High School and also attended Brevard Community College. She retired from Northcliffe Baptist Church in Spring Hill, FL where she served for seventeen years as Church Secretary.

She loved her family and was loved deeply by them. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was always so excited to cheer her loved ones on in their endeavors. Shirley enjoyed traveling, especially to visit the mountains.

Funeral services for Mrs. Greene will be on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home, Dalton, GA. Reverend Joel Southerland will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 18, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations be made to Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Springs, GA.
