Thomas Walter Dennard

Thomas (Tom) Walter Dennard, 67, of Dalton passed away on Friday morning, May 7, 2021, at Dalton Place Senior Living Community. Tom was co-owner of the Carpet Barn in Dalton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Stokely and Bernice Felker McCamy and Walter R. and Lovie Lavender Dennard.; his parents, Robert Elijah and Helen McCamy Dennard, Sr.; and his sister, Candler Linville. He is survived by his daughter, Holly Dennard; grandchildren, McCamy Grace Ellis, Stone Thomas Swanner, and Nixon Robert Martinez; brother, Robert Elijah Dennard, Jr.; bonus daughter, Laura (Bryan) Pickett; bonus grandchildren, Addison Hasty, Arleigha Russell, and Andrew Russell; nieces and nephews, Blake Dennard, Tracy (Lin) Clement, Ali Linville, and Tara (J.R.) Spung.

A memorial service for Mr. Dennard will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Dalton First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society (3380 Chastain Meadows Parkway, Suite 200, Kennesaw, GA 30144) or Dalton First United Methodist Church (500 North Thornton Avenue, Dalton, GA 30720).
