Tom Nisbet Greer

Mrs. Tom Nisbet Greer, 99.5, of Dalton passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Greer; infant son, Winfield Greer; sister, Rita Cushman; brother, Winfield Nisbet.

Tom was a University of Georgia graduate and a Dalton resident since 1948. She was active in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Meals on Wheels and enjoyed tennis, walking and playing softball.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Greer Crawley (Bill) and Rita G. Kancel (Maurice); grandchildren, Mary Greer Crawley, Matthew James Crawley, Aidan Crawley, Brooks Greer Severson (Tom) and Anne Kancel (Justin Bannworth); great-grandchildren, Isabella and Rosario Celaya, Maggie Severson and Tilly and Ivy Bannworth; nieces, Paula and Brooks Cushman; beloved animals, Monkey and Sox.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
