Tommy Higdon

Tommy Higdon, 74, of Dalton went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

He was the son of the late Creed and Nellie Higdon and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Grady Higdon and Louise Manis and grandson, Matthew Christopher.

Tommy was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked as a welder for most of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Higdon; sons, Mark Higdon (Jennifer), Matt Higdon (Lisa) and Jeff Higdon (Buffey); grandchildren, Caleb Higdon, Nathan Higdon, Benjamin Higdon, Chase Higdon, Creed Higdon, Nate Christopher, Tiffany Burns, Bristeyn Durham, Khenidi Pippin and Landrhe Higdon; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Higdon, Bennett Higdon, Judson Burns, Brooks Higdon and Amelia Durham; brother, Jimmy (Linda) Higdon of Tunnel Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:30 until 8:30 PM and then again prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 AM until 12:30 PM. Tommy will be laid to rest at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
