Tommy Joe Kirk

Tommy Joe Kirk, 83, of Dalton passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at home.

He was the son of the late James Willard and Margie Kirk and was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Doris Kidd Kirk and infant son.

He was a member of Dalton Masonic Lodge 105 for 60 years and UA 72 of Atlanta. Tommy Joe opened Kirk Cycle in 1965 and was a mentor to many over the years. He loved John Wayne, Racing, and anything that went fast.

He is survived by his children, Debra Kirk, Tammy Jo Kirk (Joann Swartz) and Daina Silver (Tony); grandchildren, Erin Silvers, Nadya, Grigs and Mikhail Swartz; sister, Barbara Weaver (Henry); special caregiver, Diann Lively.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 8 PM and then again on Saturday from 1 until 2. Entombment will be in West Hill Cemetery.
