Travis G. Miller, age 67, of the Dawnville community entered his heavenly home on Friday, January 10, 2025.
He was born on Wednesday, June 12, 1957, in Dalton to the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil and June Miller.
He was the owner of Travis G. Miller Rock Masonry, Inc. (Not Just Another Brick In The Wall) for over 40 years. Travis never met a stranger and was known for his outgoing personality and generous heart. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. He valued his family above all and worked from daylight till dark until his retirement. He left his imprint on our town with his beautiful stonework and memories.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Marion, Jimmy, Willie, Larry, Steve, Benny and Bobby, and his sister Sue Dyer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kim King Miller; his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Josh Whorton; his grandchildren, Baylee and Tyler Whorton; his brothers and sisters, Donna and Nathan Parker, Norman Miller, Pat Beavers, Cecil and Dorothy Miller, Delano and Frances Miller; sister-in-law, Terri King; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Travis's family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team at Hamilton Medical Center for their excellent care and compassion.
Funeral services to celebrate Travis's life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Westmoreland officiating. He will be laid to rest in a private burial service at United Memorial Gardens. Gentlemen honored to serve as pallbearers are Tyler Whorton, Josh Whorton, Luke Parker, Trevor Carter, Bryson Cassell, and Garrett Silvers.
His family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour.
