Travis Harlan Thompson

Mr. Travis Harlan Thompson, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025.  He was born on Monday, June 9, 1941, in Dalton, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert R. and Eula Mae Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was a Veteran of the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force.  He was a faithful member of Kinsey Drive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and never missed a Sunday in thirty-five years.

He is survived by his brother, Dwight Thompson of Dalton, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Travis Thompson will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ron McKinney officiating.  Mr. Thompson will be laid to rest with his parents in West Hill Cemetery with full military honors rendered by the United States Air Force.

Visitation for Mr. Thompson’s family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, it was Mr. Thompson’s wish that donations be made in his memory to Kinsey Drive Baptist Church.
