Vera Ann Knick Fossett

Vera Ann Knick Fossett, 84, of Dalton went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Vera graduated from Dawnville High School in 1954, where she was on the basketball team. She was a founding member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served many years on the boards of Cherokee Estates and Cross Plains. She served as the state PTA President and worked at the North Georgia Fair and as a poll officer for Whitfield County.

She was the daughter of the late James Dawson Knick and Corrie Bell Knick and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Fossett and her siblings, Ivan Knick, Doyle Knick, George Knick, and Maude Ketchum.

Vera is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Fossett; grandchildren, Macey (Logan) Mathis, Kenzey Fossett, Jake Fossett, and Marlee Fossett; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 PM at Love Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Fossett, Rev. Hoyt Jenkins, Rev. Bart Ponders and Pastor Logan Mathis officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
