Wayne Eason

Joseph Wayne Eason, 69, of Dalton passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

He was the son of the late John and Ruth Revell Eason and was also preceded in death by his brother, Norman Eason and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty Sue Hasty and Gene Hasty.

Wayne attended Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church and was a man of great faith, always praying God’s will be done. A quite man, he showed a tremendous devotion to his family. He attended countless ballgames, golf events, piano recitals, school plays, and birthday parties for his grandchildren. Wayne was a proud marine and loved Elvis music.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Eason; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Amber Eason; grandchildren, Jake, Luke, and Ellie Eason; sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Terry Fuller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dave and Connie Hasty and Gary and Lisa Hasty; several nieces and nephews.

At Wayne’s request a private memorial service will be held for friends and family.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church.
