Weems White

Mr. Doyle Weems White, age 84, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Weems was born on Friday, November 17, 1939, in the Atco community of Cartersville, Georgia, to the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Dora Bennett White.

Weems proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He spent his life dedicated to ministry and service to others, pastoring numerous churches throughout the Dalton community and speaking/preaching at revivals and services all throughout the area as well.  He served as the pastor of Antioch Baptist Church for over twenty years.

In addition to his parents, Weems is preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Mrs. Nedra White.  He is also preceded in death by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

He is survived by his daughters, Wendy (David) Ensley and Amy (Chad) Fiest; his grandchildren, Carly (Cody Burgess), Cody Ensley, Conner (Megan) Hayes, and Donovan Hayes.  He is also survived by his two great-granddaughters, Alaia and Renlee.  Weems is also survived by his brother, Bobby (Dorene) White, and his sister, Patsy (L.D.) Faw, as well as his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Weems’s life will be on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home, with Reverend Tyson Griffin officiating.  Weems will be laid to rest next to his wife following the service at West Hill Cemetery, with military honors rendered by the American Legion Post 112.  His family will receive friends for visitation at Love Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the service hour.

Weems’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the wonderful staff of Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care that they showed Weems throughout this past year.

In lieu of flowers, it was Weems’s wish that donations be made in his memory to the Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church Building Fund (202 S Cherry St, Tunnel Hill, GA 30755).
