William "Bill" Louis Hannah

William (Bill) Louis Hannah passed away peacefully February 24, 2022.  He is survived by his wife Pat Hannah, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Marta Hannah, granddaughters Ana Patricia and Daniela Ricks Hannah and sister-in-laws Jan Corbin and Ada Ricks, and best friends Arnold and Janel Caylor. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne and mother Carrie Hannah and siblings Edwin, Rembert, Jack, Claude, Isabel and Carol. He has numerous nieces and nephews including special niece Adrienne Monroe.

He was born October 24, 1932, in Murray County, GA in a house with no electricity and no running water. He attended Dalton High and graduated from Valley Point.  He was a Sergeant in the Army serving in Korea in ’53 and ’54. He married Pat in 1953 and celebrated 68 years of marriage last August. They loved to fish and fished from the frozen Arctic to the jungles of Costa Rica. The biggest fish on the wall is Pat’s, however. He was part of the carpet industry and owned Metro Laminators. He was a Christian and was a Deacon in the Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations to Big Brothers/Big Sisters (209 West Morris St., Dalton, GA 30720) are welcome.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 with a Chapel Service at 4:00 at Love Funeral Home, Dalton, GA this Sunday, February 27, 2022.
