Wilma Mary Hawkins

Mrs. Wilma Mary Talley Hawkins, 90, of the Carbondale Community, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late, John Thomas and Myrtle Shipman Talley and was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Hawkins; son, Frank Lamar Hawkins; sisters, Beatrice Tate, Johnnie Long, Christine Pinion and mother-in-law, Parilee Hawkins.

Wilma was an avid gardener and loved to cook and can. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Wilma was retired from Shaw Industries.

She is survived by her children, Benny Lee Hawkins, Deborah and Bill O’Hearon and Heather Hawkins all of Dalton; sisters, Frances Hammond of Atlanta and Maggie (Ken) Foster of Calhoun; grandchild, William O’Hearon III (Julissa); great-grandchildren, Alexis O’Hearon, Jade O’Hearon, Eathan and Nathan;  sister-in-law, Betty (Spencer) Causey; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Swamp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from Noon until the funeral at 2 p.m.
