Woody Glenn

Marion Woodard (Woody) Glenn Jr. of Dalton, Georgia died peacefully on June 7, 2024. Woody was born on April 23, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Marian Woodard and Regina Brandenburg Glenn. He was also preceded in death by his sister Gina Johnson.

Woody is survived by his devoted wife Brenda Joyce Glenn; his daughter Amy Maddox (Russ) and grandsons Andrew and Stephen Duke; son Brandon Glenn (Melanie) and granddaughters Kate, Emma and Riley Glenn and grandson Milan Thompson; stepdaughter Shannon Ayers (Brett) and grandchildren Tanner and Maddie Ayers; stepson Chad Swift (Lia) and grandchildren Grace, Asa and Faith Swift and Orestes Peterson.

Woody enjoyed time hunting, fishing, traveling and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family and remembered for his loyalty, steadfastness, and love of people.

A private graveside service will be held for the family.

A celebration of life for friends and family is being planned for July.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to The River Community Church.
