Wynelle Butler Kent

Wynelle Butler Kent, 87, a lifelong resident of Dalton, passed away at her home at Royal Oaks on Monday, June 12, 2023. Mrs. Kent is preceded in death by her husband, H. T. (Tommy) Kent; infant son, Mark Alan Hooker; parents, Burgan and Pauline Butler; son-in-law, Keith Gregory; and the father of her children, Grady Hooker.

Mrs. Kent is survived by her children, Diane Gregory and Melisa Henley (Buddy); grandchildren, Lindsey Roark (Daniel) and Todd Gregory; great-grandchildren, Paige Roark and Landrie Roark; and, brother, Warren Butler (LaShon).

A private family funeral service will be held for Mrs. Kent with Reverend Alfred Turley officiating. Burial will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family has requested that flowers be omitted, and donations be made to one’s favorite charity.
