Upon graduating from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Mark obtained his funeral directing and embalming licensure in 1987. He worked for many years alongside his parents and today he proudly carries on his family’s legacy with his two daughters. He is married to his wife of 36 years, Jill. Having grown up in Dalton, Jill first got a taste of the funeral business while she was a student studying at Dalton State College. After marrying Mark, she became a permanent part of the funeral home family. In addition to being a full-time mom to Lindsay and Hannah, she also went on to obtain her license as a Master Cosmetologist in the State of Georgia. It is through this area of expertise that Jill has been able to serve our families throughout the years by helping to oversee and perfect the final care of their loved ones. In addition to her cosmetology skills, Jill also oversees the special projects within the funeral home, from building maintenance, to groundskeeping, to document management. When she isn’t working, Jill enjoys playing tennis, as well as being ‘JoJo’ to her grandbabies, Charlie and Fin.
As part of the fifth generation of the Love Funeral Home Family, Lindsay is proud to carry on her family’s legacy of serving the families of Dalton to this day. While she has spent her entire life in and around the workings of the funeral home, Lindsay officially joined the funeral home staff as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2012. She and her husband, Luke, have been married for eight years. They stay busy caring for their two little boys, three-year-old Charlie, and one-year-old Fin.
As part of the fifth generation of the Love Funeral Home Family, Hannah works as business manager, overseeing the funeral home’s business and finances. As a Cum Laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, Hannah’s business acumen and management skills are crucial to the funeral home’s daily operations. Her skills, however, aren’t limited to her business acuity. Hannah also exudes a special sense of warmth, compassion, and friendliness to all the families who come through our funeral home, and very often serves as a helpful resource to families needing guidance. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys playing tennis and spending time outdoors.
